Description

The Microsoft Authenticator app allows for easy and very secure access to your Microsoft apps and services without waiting for an SMS code. This method of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) works over the internet meaning it will work anywhere in the world, so long as you have an internet connection. It also offers an offline backup through a 6-digit code in case you don’t have access to the internet. You can access your Microsoft account by simply approving access on your phone rather than waiting for a SMS code.

Setting up this method is quick and easy and allows for access to NIDA services such as Remote Access.

Installation and Setup

  1. On your mobile device, head over to the App Store or Play Store and install “Microsoft Authenticator” by Microsoft.
