Please follow the steps below to be able to create a Teams meeting link and share that with external clients and people without a NIDA Microsoft account.

On Teams application, click on Calendar icon on the panel to the left which takes you to your Calendar, from where you can create instant meeting (Meet Now) or schedule one ahead of time (Scheduled Meeting)

Meet Now

This is used to create a meeting instantly. Click on Meet Now to create a link for the meeting.

Click on ‘Get a link to share’ and copy the link that is created for the meeting.

You can also configure meeting options by clicking on ‘Configure Meeting options’. This will open a browser window with following options. You can change the options as per the requirement.

Scheduled Meeting

This will open a pop-up with required meeting details as shown below.

Fill in the details and click on ‘Save’ on the top right corner of the window.

You can also copy the link for a meeting that was already scheduled in the following two ways.

The meeting details are shared if you choose to send the invite in an email while scheduling the meeting. The details shared are as below.

Clicking on the links above will re-direct them as described.

When an external client opens the link, browser with options to Open Teams(Teams app needs to be installed) or Continue on this browser.

By selecting the checkbox and clicking on Open Link will open the meeting in Microsoft Teams application. Cancelling that and clicking on Continue on this browser will take you to following page(will be the same for Teams application).

They can enter their name and click on ‘Join now’ to join the meeting.
