Casual employees that have not worked for at least 3 months will have their profiles deactivated within MyNIDA. This is done to reduce the bloat of data on employee schedules, control system access, and minimise licensing costs from the software vendor. The process below advises how to reinstate an inactive casual employee account. Once an account is reactivated, the employee will appear on schedules and can have shifts allocated to them.

HR Group - Intitate Employee Re-Activation HR Action
Step 1
Go to Team -> HR -> HR Actions
Step 2
Start an HR action – Casual Account Re-activation
Step 3
Choose the Employee whose account need to be re-activated and Effective date
Step 4
Move the Account Status from In-active to Active and Pay period Profile to NIDA- Casual and Date from when the account should be activated.
Submit the Request after the data is filled
Approving HR Action Request
Go to Bell Icon on right hand side – Notifications
Go to My To Do Items to approve the Request.
Once the Request is Approved – Status of the HR action move to Completed
Once the HR Action is approved, the change will be applied to the employee's account immediately. No further action is required to edit the employee's account. The employee will now be listed as Active and will appear on Schedules within MyNIDA.
