Echo360 is a platform used at NIDA mostly to hold video content used to teach courses.
This content is then linked to from Canvas (aka NIDA Learn), which is NIDA’s learning management system.
Apart from videos, Echo360 can also hold audio files, pdfs and PowerPoint files.

The following links point to pages related to using Echo360 via Canvas

Use 1: Uploading and linking to Echo360 content by staff

Use 2: Setting up Canvas so that students can submit video for their assignments

Video assignments follow the same three-step sequence as for any other assignment, ie setup, submission and grading.

In terms of the setup step, Echo360’s support website recommends using the 'Online’ and ‘Website URL’ settings in Canvas. However the alternative combination of ‘Online’ and ‘File Uploads’ is also possible.

Suggestion: Use the Echo360-preferred option of ‘Online’ + ‘Website URL'.
However, should this not work, the steps to using the alternative option are provided below.
(A version of the student workflow that shows the slightly different screens for the alternative option is also provided.)
