NIDA 's mission is to create a seamless asset management system that empowers students and staff while reducing costs. Our objectives are to track assets, simplify booking, record maintenance, and curb unnecessary spending.
Our solution includes a user-friendly system accessible to all stakeholders, with CHEQROOM as our partner.
We'll implement CHEQROOM, retire TrackSeal, and import assets like Technical Operations gear, Costumes, ICT equipment, and more. Comprehensive training and support resources are part of the plan.While our focus is on essential assets, we'll exclude building assetscommitted to enhancing equipment management with an emphasis on efficiency, cost-reduction, and user empowerment. Our strategy involves asset tracking, simplified reservations, maintenance logging, and spending control.
Cheqroom will replace TrackSeal as our central system, integrating assets across departments including Tech-Ops, Costumes, and IT as our major users but more to come. We're providing thorough training and robust support for a smooth transition. Our focus is on key assets, omitting buildings, low-value items, and consumables.
We work with key assumptions and acknowledge constraints like staff workload and budgets. We're modernising equipment management for departments such as Costume, Facilities, FOH, IT, Corporate, Open, Scenic Construction, TTSM, Tech Ops, VET, and, of course, our students. Stay tuned for the meaningful changes ahead're mindful of staff workloads and budget limitations as we upgrade our equipment management processes for a broad spectrum of departments and our student body.
