The new rehearsal room racks now have the ability to input SDI and HDMI. If you have any issues, please submit a help-desk ticket by emailing help.av@nida.edu.au. For any urgent issues, you can get in contact with the AV Team for either calling reception and getting them to radio them, or you can call 02 9697 7531

Standard Equipment

In the Rehearsal Room racks, there is the following:

  • Windows 10 Computer

  • Roland XS-42H Matrix Switcher

  • Denon DN-300BR Bluetooth Receiver

  • Australian Monitor MX82 Audio Mixer

  • Australian Monitor AV2.2P Power Amplifier

  • Decimator 12G-CROSS

  • IO Rack Panel

Computer

To use the computer, turn it on in the rack, and select Input 1 on the Output 2 row of the Roland Switcher. Then turn on the TV with the provided remote, if it is not already on.
For Audio, turn the knob labeled PC/HDMI/SDI on the Mixer. If you are having issues, try turning on the Audio Mixer, or the Power Amplifier.

Laptop/HDMI input

To use the provided HDMI fly lead, first plug it into your laptop/camera, then select Input 2 on the Output 2 row of the Roland Switcher. Then turn on the TV with the provided remote, if it is not already on.
The HDMI lead also carries audio, so all you need to do is turn the knob labeled PC/HDMI/SDI on the Mixer. If you are having issues, try turning on the Audio Mixer, or the Power Amplifier.

SDI

To use SDI, you will need to provide an SDI lead for your device. Select Input 3 on the Output 2 of the Roland Switcher. Then turn on the TV with the provided remote, if it is not already on.
SDI also carries audio, so all you need to do is turn the knob labeled PC/HDMI/SDI on the Mixer. If you are having issues, try turning on the Audio Mixer, or the Power Amplifier.

Bluetooth Receiver

To pair your Bluetooth device to the Denon Bluetooth Receiver:

  1. If the Bluetooth Receiver is off, press the Power button to power on the DN-300BR. The Status Light will flash slowly.

  2. Make sure your desired Bluetooth device has its Bluetooth connectivity on. Please Note, the DN-300BR will automatically try to pair with a previously paired Bluetooth device within range. If you are using that Bluetooth device again, you can start playing audio immediately. If you want to use a new Bluetooth device, continue to Step 3.

  3. Briefly press DN-300BR’s Pair button. The Status Light will start flashing quickly.

  4. On your Bluetooth device, enter its Bluetooth settings menu, and select DN-300BR. When DN- 300BR successfully pairs to a Bluetooth device, the Status Light will stop flashing and remain lit.

  • Note: Some older Bluetooth devices may require you to enter a PIN. If this is the case, enter 0000 as the PIN. If no device pairs within 60 seconds, DN-300BR will exit pairing mode and the Status Light will flash slowly. To re-enter pairing mode, briefly press DN-300BR's Pair button.
