Creating Shared User Accounts

Where staff have an approved arrangement to share a space between them, it is necessary to create a shared user account that is allocated the space, to which both staff then sign in to.

 

Step 1 - Create User Account

  1. Ask IT to create a new email address, matching the convention parkableXX@student.nida.edu.au. The space number should be inserted into the email (e.g. parkableB27@student.nida.edu.au). Ask that the email address is linked to your account so that you receive any emails sent.

  2. Invite a new user to Parkable through the member tab, setting the name as Shared Bay XX with the newly created email address.

  3. Once created, you will receive an email asking to validate the user. When this email comes through, copy the link at the bottom of the email and paste it into a private browser window.

  4. Follow the prompts to finalise the setup, ensuring you note down the password created. A dummy mobile number can be entered for the user.

 

Step 2 - Update Notes for Member

  1. Navigate to the members tab and find the newly created user. Click on their name to open their member profile.

  2. Click on the notes tab and then add a new note. In the note, state who the bay is shared between.

 

Step 3 - Assign the Bay

  1. If the bay is currently assigned to someone, suspend the bay and then end the subscription. Then assign the bay to the newly created shared user.

  2. Send the login credentials to both users and ask that they login to Parkable on the app using those credentials.
