Printing from Personal Devices

The Release Queue printer can be set up on personal devices to make printing easier.

Supported systems/devices

  • Windows 10+

  • macOS 10.15+ (Catalina or higher)

  • Android 6.0+

  • iOS 12.0+

Prerequisites

  • You must have a NIDA account (i.e. student/staff account)

  • You must be connected to NIDA WiFi (Nconnect) to use this service

Setup

Windows

  1. Click here to open the setup page

  2. Click the Download button and run the installer when the download has completed

  3. Follow the installer prompts

  4. Print to the new “Release Queue” printer that was set up by the installer

MacOS

  1. Click here to open the setup page

  2. Click the Download button and open the dmg file when the download has completed

  3. Follow the installer prompts

  4. Print to the new “Release Queue” printer that was set up by the installer
    You will be asked for your NIDA username (e.g. jane.citizen) and password the first time you print or after you change your NIDA password.

iOS

  1. Ensure you are using Safari to open this setup page

  2. Click the Download button

  3. Open iOS Settings and either tap:

    1. Profile Downloaded > Install

    2. General > Profile > PaperCut Mobility Print for iOS > Install

  4. Print to the new “Release Queue” printer
    You will be asked for your NIDA username (e.g. jane.citizen) and password the first time you print or after you change your NIDA password.

Android

  1. Click here to open the setup page

  2. Click the “Install or Update” button
    You will be asked to install the Papercut Mobility Print app on your device.
    You may need to click the “Install or Update” button again after installation

  3. Enter your credentials when prompted

  4. Print to the “Release Queue” printer

Releasing the print job

After you have submitted your print job, sign in to any NIDA photocopier and release the job.
